Legislative Update/Hamari Report – Mike S., Sue and
Judy (IIADA) attended a meeting with the DOT to dis-
cuss the Hamari system. There has been a lot of
positive feedback with more feedback expected soon
from using Hamari. The reports generated have been
very informative even initiating follow-up inquiries and
violations.
Hill Day – Sue reported there was a good turn-out for
this event and a lot of interest among legislators. The
Round Table board meeting had a lively discussion
and good participation. The scrapper definition bill
worked on during the session and passed was a big
win for the IAR, thanks to Jim Piazza’s work.
Committee Reports
Scholarship – Tracy will call Jodi then follow up with
the board members by email with how many scholar-
ship applicants we have (deadline was March 31
st
).
PAC – Sue said we did receive some PAC contribu-
tions at the Hill Day reception but we need to do more
promotion at next year’s Hill Day to bring in more PAC
donations.
By-Laws – Tracy will get the committee together soon
to start hammering out what changes need to be
made to the by-laws.
Membership – There are still some Direct members
and Associate members that have not renewed but
most of them will eventually send in their dues per
Sue.
Sue said the “Who’s Who” is in the process of being
revamped and will be out before the Summer Outing.
She also reminded the board members that we are
swapping advertising with the Casualty Adjuster
Guide.
Summer Outing – Tom Q. said the organization of the
upcoming event is going very well. Sue reported
there will be no sand volleyball but a car give-away by
the Charitable Chariots has been added which will
bring in some media coverage. They are still in need
of some parts.
The Bootleggers Bus to Templeton Rye will run that
Saturday at 2 pm and 3 pm. The cost will be $20 per
person with $10 of that going to the distillery and the
other $10 going toward covering the bus and other
expenses.
