How Trees Can Retain Stormwater Runoff
The Iowa DNR State Forest Nursery’s can offer
seedling packet of water-loving tree species known
for their ability to slow flooding and filter contami-
nants from the water as well as add screening.
The tree are made available through a program spe-
cifically funded for use in erosion control and water
retention.

ey have white spruce, white pine, red pine, jack
pine available.
Pictured below in that order.
They can do a create-a-packet that contains 200
seedlings for $110 plus tax, shipping, handling. You
could put one kind in the packet or up to 4 kinds of 50
each. That would be the minimum order.
Contact Sue if you are interested in purchasing one
packet of 200 seedlings or want to join in a group
shared order so that each yard gets fewer trees than
the minimum order.
