Board of Directors Meeting

Jim reported to Sue that Iowa Department of Revenue
is open to the idea of looking at the pool’s current
sales tax practices which makes it a good time to pro-
ceed with this discussion.
Other Business:
Hill Day – Sue said LKQ will sponsor the PAC recep-
tion the evening of Feb. 25
th
and ADD will be sponsor-
ing the breakfast at the capitol, Feb. 26
th
. Sue took
names of the board members who would like her to
make their Embassy Suites reservations. Sue sug-
gested sending postcards to past PAC contributors to
the reception so Jodi will get her a list of those
names. Invitations will be sent out soon to all mem-
bers and board members are asked to call IAR mem-
bers on their assigned list.
The board meeting will be 3-5 pm on February 25
th
with the PAC reception from 7-9:30 pm the 25
th
. Dur-
ing the free time between meetings, the Embassy
Suites hosts their daily open bar/appetizers time. Sue
asked what we could do to encourage more PAC do-
nations so there was some discussion on that.
Sue reported that the Marketing Committee has been
formed and will have a conference call next week.
The ideas brainstormed last meeting will be dis-
cussed, vetted and prioritized including the national
Green Recycled Parts (GRP) promotional material
and other ARA resources available to use to promote
used auto parts sales in Iowa. Sue received a quote
on sending the 2015 Who’s Who Directory to all repair
shops in Iowa as well as the insurance adjusters as
usual. The insurance adjusters list has been acquired
per the motion carried last meeting. Sue also said the
Who’s Who is being worked on at this time.
