New Business:
Craigslist Monitoring Program
– Sue reported on
a recent conference call in which she participated
with representatives of the DOT and IIADA to dis-
cuss Harmari, the monitoring program. This is a
for-hire computer program designed to scan online
sites such as Craigslist for non-licensed people
selling vehicles online. Sue said the DOT is very
interested in this program and continues to study it.
There is a 90-day introductory price that would give
us a chance to try it out and look at the reports it
generates. Judy Wilson is working on getting
some of those reports customized and getting
some pricing information before she or we decide
to invest in Harmari.
Board of Directors –
Both Pat Rooff and Eric
Piper have agreed to accept nominations to be on
the board, as directors so will be nominated at the
required pre-full member meeting on June 1
st
. This
board meeting will be at 8:45 a.m. before meeting
with all members at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, June
1
st
. Sue went through the meeting process and the
rules that need to be followed as far as nominating
board members and the installation process. The
installation of new board members and officers will
be at 6:00 p.m. that evening and will be conducted
by Scott Frank.
Legislative Update -
Jim Piazza, the IAR lobbyist,
thinks the session will wrap up within the next
week. There is one bill in the process of making its
way through both houses that would allow environ-
mental lab fees to be sales tax exempt. Also, Paul
with the DOT has asked for a conference call this
Friday, May 17
th
, with Sue and Judy (IIADA).
Summer Outing
– The Summer Outing will be
held Friday, May 31 – Saturday, June 1, 2013 in
Maquoketa, IA. Sue asked board members to get
registrations in as soon as possible. The 2
nd
mailer
has gone out to all members to remind them to get
their registrations in soon. Sue will be setting up at
the meeting location beginning at noon on Friday,
May 31
st
so if anyone can help, they will be wel-
comed! She said there will be 20 vendors. Sue
also went over in detail all the activites/times for
the Summer Outing.
There was some discussion on what the auction
proceeds will help fund. In general, it has helped
fund the PAC fund, the scholarship account and
Charitible Chariots.
Scholarship Applications –
Jodi has received
applications from 7 students. Jodi will send those
applications as soon as possible to Brent, Tracy,
Eric and Sue. They will then make a recommenda-

Who’s Who Directory –
Sue is hoping the direc-
tory will be ready to distribute at the Summer Out-
