present a one-year contract to the board but after a lot
of discussion, David made a motion to offer Jim Pi-
azza, Jr. $10,000 for monitoring the IAR legislative
interests and $10,000 to run a bill. Pat seconded the
motion, motion carried.
It was decided Sue and Tracy would work on a time
for the Legislative Committee to meet with Jim to dis-
cuss his contract. Tracy will contact Jim to visit with
him about our discussion and set the date for this
meeting. All of this will need to be completed before
the next legislative session begins on January 13,
2014. The board will be updated on their progress as
it moves along. The Legislative Committee met via
conference call on January 7 (11:30 am) and January
9 (5:15 pm) to further discuss the Legislative priority.
