Happy New Year to everyone! Hope this newsletter
finds everyone staying warm and busy. Maybe as one
of your New Year Resolution, you could contribute to
the Iowa Auto Recyclers PAC fund!
Just a reminder that Hill Days is fast approaching! Hill
Days is March 6, 2014 at the Capitol in Des Moines.
This experience was both exciting and an informative
day for us. You get to see how the Lobbyist works and
also meet your representatives.
In the past we have got to talk to these individuals and
realize that they are just as human as we are and not
to be intimated by them. They give you time to talk to
them and enjoy a donut and coffee. Just like a regular
coffee break. This experience opened our eyes to
really get involved in our association. The more people
we have attend these Hill Days the better we can push
for legislators to see that we are an Association that
has representation and concerns about what happens
in legislation.
