Kunde, Pat Rooff, Eric C. Piper and Jeff Smid.
President Tracy Hurst called the meeting to order at
5:21 p.m.
Direct Membership Dues
Sue asked the board to consider increasing the Direct
Member dues for 2014. Mainly due to increased
travel costs, event costs and more overnight meetings,
expenses have gone up. She also said the Iowa dues
are as low as or lower than any other state in the coun-
try. After much discussion on the pros and cons of in-
creasing the dues, Andy made a motion to set the an-
nual dues for Direct Members for 2014 at $350.00.
Mike S. seconded the motion; motion carried. Sue will
be mailing out the dues statements within the next few
days. Associate Member statements have already
been mailed (no increase as they were raised 2 years
ago).
IAR Lobbyist Contract
Tracy asked the board to discuss Jim Piazza’s contract
at this time so we can avoid last minute decisions/
deadlines. This will give us more time for reviewing,
signing and making payments. In the past, Jim would
