LEGISLATIVE PRIORITIES & OPPORTUNITIES
were discussed with Lobbyist, Jim Piazza. The follow-
ing information was shared at the briefing & PAC re-
ception later that evening.
Hill Day – January 17, 2013 – The event is an oppor-
tunity for IAR Members to meet their District Repre-
sentative and Senator, to meet key Legislators and
legislative leadership. The goal was to convey infor-
mation about our industry such that Auto Salvage Fa-
cilities are made up of family-owned businesses that
employee local workers, make local sales and pay
property taxes and licensing fees to operate in a fully
compliant manner. The fact remains that there are
many unlicensed players operating in our business
which is unsafe for consumers for reason of title
fraud, identity theft and unsafe vehicles returning to
road the road without inspection.
New Business – The Board discussed the upcoming
Officer election. There will be two Board position
available as some members have fulfilled their terms.
Brent has been approached by Direct Members who
have interest in volunteering. The discussion
prompted the need for a review of the By-laws and
the (re)development of an Officers Guide that many of
the long-standing Board members were aware had
been used in the past but most of the new people
have not seen. Polo shirt were passed out to those
attending Hill Day and the meeting was adjourned by
3pm.

any adult men’s sizes

but do not seem to
shrink much in the
wash. So order a size

An invoice for the shirts
and postage will be
sent with the orders.
Special orders will take
a two weeks.
